1985 – Published the Directory of Programs Serving Families of Adult Offenders (Funded and Published by the National Institute of Corrections)
1988 – Held First National Conference on the Family and Corrections in Sacramento, California
1989 – Held Second North American Conference on the Family and Corrections in Albany, New York

Edited Directory of Programs Serving Families of Adult Offenders, September 1989 (Funded by the National Institute of Corrections)
1991 – Held Third North American Conference on the Family and Corrections in Topeka, Kansas
1993 – In partnership with Canadian Families and Corrections Network, held the Fourth North American Conference on the Family and Corrections in Quebec, Canada
1994 – Began publishing FCN REPORT
1997 – Established web site, fcnetwork.org
1998 – Held the Fifth North American Conference on the Family and Corrections in Bethesda, Maryland
2000 – In Partnership with National Practitioners Network for Fathers and Families held the North American Conference on Fathers Behind Bars and on the Street held in Durham, North Carolina
2001 – Published the Incarcerated Fathers Library online
2002 – Held the Second North American Conference on Fathers Behind Bars and on the Street, with NPNFF, St. Louis, Missouri
2003 – Published the Children of Prisoners Library
2004- Launched a series of telephone trainings on children and families of the incarcerated
2006- Merged FCN with the Federal Resource Center on Children of Prisoners to create The National Resource Center on Children and Families of the Incarcerated (NRCCFI)
2007- Launched a series of telephone trainings based on the Bill of Rights for Children of the Incarcerated
